ADHD can be a blessing in disguise when it comes to the creative process. The ability to hyperfocus on a task can lead to incredible bursts of productivity and inspiration. While others may struggle with distractions or lose track of ideas

About Peter Pham, PMHNP-BC

I'm a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I treat adults and adolescents living with ADHD, anxiety, and depression — the conditions I know best, both clinically and personally.

I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid and grew up with a stutter. Traditional classrooms were hard. My first career, in sales, didn't fit either — partly because I struggled to communicate the way the role demanded. What I learned in those years was that I'd rather help people than persuade them. Healthcare felt like the right pivot. I trained as a registered nurse and then specialized as a psychiatric nurse practitioner because mental health is where I could put my own experience to use.

I keep visits unhurried, ask questions that go beyond the symptom checklist, and write plans that fit your life — work, school, sleep, relationships, and the medications and side-effects you're willing to tolerate. I'll be honest with you about what I do and don't know, what the evidence says, and where we have options.

I work collaboratively with therapists, primary care physicians, and other specialists when that's part of your care. My collaborating physician is Dr. Nancy Abdelwahab, MD.

Where I see patients: telehealth in California, Oregon, and Florida; in-person at 1100 W Town and Country Rd, Suite 1250, Orange, California.
